Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ's
What is your typical lead time ?
It depends on the machine loading, material availability and tools , if it’s a new job and we need to design and manufacture tools in house then its approximately
8 – 10 weeks. If tools exist and it’s a repeat order then approximately 4 -6 weeks.
What is your minimum quantity ?
Again, it depends on the machine but typically we would want to forge a minimum 50,000 pcs ( if you consider that on average the machines run at around 8000 pcs per hour) but please ask for further detail as it is part number and material specific etc etc.
What are your payment terms ?
Our payment terms are strictly 30 days unless agreed otherwise.
Why does it take so long ?
We are governed by internal and external processes but once the machine is set , the base part will run at 1000’s per hour, thereafter the parts may need to have other operations and this is when the lead time is extended. Parts may need to be tapped , drilled , heat treated, plated and patched so it’s common to take another 7-10 days to complete the part depending on specifications.
Can I schedule parts from you ?
We are very happy to work to a schedule and deliver to an agreed slot, this helps us plan material and capacity.
What type of packaging do you offer ?
We offer a variety of packaging solutions from cardboard, KLT containers and we will even pack into your own branded packaging.
